Our Background

The Dutch Union of Jewish Students (DUJS) is the national umbrella organization representing Jewish students across the Netherlands. Founded in 1976, DUJS plays a central role in uniting Jewish student communities, safeguarding Jewish life on campus, and empowering future leaders.

As the longest-standing Jewish youth association in the country, DUJS operates at the intersection of education, identity, and advocacy. Our work spans community-building initiatives, national and international partnerships, interfaith dialogue, political representation, and cultural programming.

DUJS is a member of the European Union of Jewish Students (EUJS) and part of the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS), positioning us within a global framework of Jewish student leadership. We are often the first line of response in confronting antisemitism on campus and serve as a key voice in national conversations on diversity, tolerance, and student welfare.

We believe that investing in Jewish student life is an investment in the future of Dutch society. Our programs cultivate civic engagement, leadership skills, cultural continuity, and cross-cultural understanding — building stronger communities both within and beyond the Jewish world.

From universities in Amsterdam to campuses in Maastricht, DUJS connects, protects, and elevates Jewish student life throughout the Netherlands.

What we do?

The Dutch Union of Jewish Students is a non-profit organization that relies on both funding and membership fees to support and organize our events. Your support helps us to further the connections between Jewish students and advance Jewish culture in the Netherlands. Join us in this opportunity to make a difference and enhance our community!
